Time

Time goes by too fast. I'm not meaning in the long term like when you're waiting for school exams and suddenly they're upon you, I'm meaning for like, the last two days I spent two hours running around getting things ready and it seemed like I wasn't able to fit everything I needed to in those two hours. And for the most part it wasn`t for lack of preparation. Me and Star had bought nearly everything we needed the last couple days, (We of course forgot something and had to revisit the store), and had invited the people over for the surprise party for who... that`s right Steph. I had asked a friend of ours to take her out and keep her out of the house for a couple hours. I brought over my sisters to TP her room while me and the other people who showed up DECORATED the house. Which was fun, particularly since I`m one of those OCD people when it comes to decorating and I love to do something, and then rescind that action and redo it. Ya... fun. I think a couple friends may have wanted to strangle me, but by the end it was wonderful and Steph was VERY surprised, she nearly fell down the stairs. So I guess we did manage to get everything ready in the two hours.
It was a great evening, we got to dance, eat cake, watch Steph get some cake in the face, while she ran around in Princess garb, and pop balloons left and right, then inhale the helium for the 7 helium balloons floating around the place. If I didn`t have to run to work right away, I would upload some pictures for you. Our poor friend Tiff who we hadn`t seen in months cause she was away at school, showed up later and was nearly toppled down the stairs by Steph in her rush to strangle Tiff in a hug. It was really good to see her.
So what did I learn? You may think you are prepared (and I don't know if it's just me) but you will end up running around for a good part of the night to meet your own expectations. Solution, have a good friend with you who can help you breathe once in a while :D.

This is For the Tenth

Sorry, I got home really late last night, but I'm making up for it now. Anyway, yesterday on the way home at midnight I was driving along and I was really tired. All it took was one tiny little stench to make me alert again and peering into every shadow. Yes that's right, it was the VERY strong smell of SKUNK. I'm serious, either something just got sprayed by the sucker or someone hit the poor creature, though I saw no evidence of a body, so I am more inclined to think some poor human or creature went home smelling like skunk.
I also learned yesterday that I must be a very dependable person. My van on the way to FHE was COMPLETELY full. Not just the seats but the trunk as well. No, I didn't travel with people in the trunk, but instead a HUGE pile of firewood I had to round up for my cousin (I must love her) so we could have a fire at the river bottom. Then I was fortunate enough to drive 7 people, besides me to the activity. Besides me running around for an hour, it turned out to be a really fun evening and really satisfying. So none of you regret asking me for a ride, cause I liked doing it, and the fire was really warm so I don't regret bringing the wood either. It made my day feel very satisfying, and I could do to sleep knowing I had done something fulfilling that day.
Now I have to go get some things together for tonight, which could possibly be my last, but Twinkle Twinkle could be the target on that one, we'll see after the evening is over, though you probably won't be hearing anything until the morning unless you're in on it.

Don't Know Why

I don't know why on earth I started a blog, but I mean all of my friends seem to be doing it, and considering I absolutely am HORRIBLE at keeping a journal, I figured I could at least give blogging a try. I don't know why I'm horrible at journal writing, I mean I love to write, but I guess I just love to write fiction, writing about my life can be kind of... heavy at times. Anyway, I figured for this blog, so at least I can have some sort of record of the good things in life, I am dedicating this so that I can post each day, at least one new thing I learned, or if the day calls for it, some really good things that happened that day.
Ok, we'll see how this goes. So the 9th day of May was Mothers Day and half a dozen people I know birthdays, so all in all a good day. A day which I could spend a bit of time with my mother, (which trust me, pretty much shocked her into a faint, I haven't been home too much lately... don't ask me why, I think it has something to do with Twinkle Twinkle) It was fun, a good dinner at my Grandma Poytresses with cousins and aunts and uncles and great aunts and uncles. The food was wonderful.
My best friend Steph's birthday was today. And even though she thinks her birthday is cursed, I haven't heard of anything overly bad happening today, but then again I could have missed something. She's a great friend and has been since 7th grade when we met in Middle School. We are very different, I mean seriously, me BIG BOOKWORM, and her continuously being compared to Moe and someone who must have escaped from the circus. But our relationship has lasted this long and it better last for a good many more years. Through the tough times in my life she's been there to support me (and they've been plentiful, I am Bionic Woman after all) and she is part of many of the most enjoyable moments of my life. Happy birthday STEPH!!!
Ok, now I guess I have to think of something new that I learned today. Hmmm.... Hmmm... this is going to be tougher than I thought, though considering I came up with this idea an hour ago, and didn't have time to live through the day and think of something during that time period, hopefully I'll get better at this. Hmmm.... I guess since I can't come up with anything else I'll just say this, I learned that having two people with the same name in the same person is REALLY fun during meetings, cause when you're sitting in the audience and suddenly your name is announced over the pulpit, you nearly have your heart pound out of your chest in shock until the last name is said and you realise it wasn't really you. Not a good experience. Unfortunately that's the best I could come up with for today, now I just have to try and come up with something for tomorrow, and actually get on here to post it.... fingers crossed!
